Venturers (Vents) are those in the true teenage years, 15-17.
We expect the Vents to organize themselves with help from adult supervisors/advisers.
They will regularly organize minor events, ranging from board game nights to wall climbing and from shooting some hoops to axe throwing. But also to come up with their own ideas to further their skills in a shared area of interest, be it first aid, kayaking, cross country skiing or more general concepts such as entertainments, survival and fitness.
When possible we ask them to (help) organize a camp or camp activity for one or more younger sections, and come up with ideas and plans for more advanced adventures such as multi-day canoe trips, mountain hikes and joining in on regional, national or even international events.
Ventures meet with the Scouts every Tuesday at Knottwood Community Centre from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Knottwood Community Centre - 449 Knottwood Rd W Northwest, Edmonton, AB T6K 3N1
